Sugar FREE Gummies (with loads of Vitamin C & gelatin) WIN a tub!

Gelatin is powerfully health supportive food! In years gone by it was used therapeutically in hospitals to treat diabetes AND arthritis and can be used in a variety of ways:

  • arthritis
  • gut healing
  • diabetes
  • weight loss
  • skin health think healing AND wrinkles
  • anti-aging
  • optimal hair and nail health
  • digestion
  • bone health
  • reproductive hormone balance
  • adrenal function
  • allergies
  • surgery recovery and wound repair
  • systemic inflammation

I highly recommend adding gelatin into foods (it mixes into ANY warm or hot food easily) to add valuable nutrition to our kids diet. One fun way to do this is by making the ever popular “gummies”! Unfortunately, most gummies are loaded with sugar which can really compromise our children’s health.

I hear you saying, “but it’s honey!”. While I believe honey is a super duper supportive food, I strongly believe our kids can benefit ENORMOUSLY from having some time away from any “sweet” food. They simply don’t need it every day!

I have created a wonderful gummy recipe that is rich is very beneficial nutrients and has NO sugar at all, not even a pretendy syrup! Your kids, and in fact the whole family can enjoy the benefits of a “gummy” every day. They are blood sugar stabilising without the sugar and so your kids won’t keep running back saying “I’m hungry”. (HOT Naturopathic tip of the day; if your kids ARE constantly hungry, this is an issue indicating and underlying imbalance or a clue you have not got the balance of macronutrients right at main meals – focus on quality proteins, fats and veg!).

Here is my Vitamin C Rich Gummy Recipe:

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (some grated rind is a wonderful addition)
  • 6 tbsp gelatin (try the NEW Australian Grass Fed Gelatin)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp organic powdered “green” stevia, to taste
  • 1 tbsp “real” wholefood vitamin C powder
  • 1 tbsp Ultimate Nutrition Greens Powder
  • 1 tbsp Fulvic Minerals

Dissolve the gelatin in the juice, warm slightly so as not to diminish the health benefits of the juice. Add remaining ingredients then pour into moulds. These keep for weeks in the fridge, but of course they don’t last that long!

The wonderful guys from GelPRO have donated a FULL tub of gelatin and I would like to offer it as a prize! Simply share your family’s favourite healthy “gummy” recipe below and your name will go into a hat and the winner will be drawn next week!

Let’s keep making the “nutrition” choices for our kids that will set them up for life NOT set them up for a lifetime of dis-ease!
